Sean “Diddy” Combs Files Motion to Overturn Convictions — Wants New Trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has filed a motion seeking to overturn his convictions or, be granted a new trial.
Combs was convicted on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution under the Mann Act. His attorneys argue that this application of the law is unprecedented and potentially unconstitutional, arguing that the activities were consensual and protected under the First Amendment as private, non-commercial “amateur pornography.”
They also contend that the trial was influenced by prejudicial evidence unrelated to the charges, particularly a 2016 video involving Combs and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
If the motion is denied, they request a retrial with limited evidence. Combs is currently awaiting sentencing on October 3, facing up to 20 years in prison.
