T.I. And Tiny’s OMG Girlz $53 Million Payout Reinstated

T.I. and Tiny’s big legal win has been reinstated, regarding their litigation against MGA Entertainment Inc. over dolls resembling the OMG Girlz.
A judge has decided their initial $53 million in punitive damages must be paid after previously ruling against it. Judge James V. Selna changed his mind, leaving the final decision that the full judgment of $71 million be paid out.
Last month, Judge Selna decided that there was insufficient evidence proving MGA Entertainment infringed on the OMG Girlz’s trademark, despite a jury finding the company guilty of violating the IP rights of the OMG Girlz with the company’s 2019 L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls in a unanimous ruling in September 2024.
